A Stirring

The other day I went for a run. On my way back to the Children's Village I felt like God was saying that He was causing a stirring, an awaking, in the hearts and lives of all who live at the Children's Village. That He was raising up a generation of men and women who will stand in boldness, truth and love. 

About 9 months ago Stanley joined our team at CORM. When he came he said that he felt like God had brought him into our ministry to be equipped for the ministry that God would one day entrust to him and his wife. The moment I heard that I knew that God was about to do a new thing within our ministry. My spirit was quickened for a fresh move of the Spirit of God.

For the past four years we have been in a mode to build…buildings. We have seen rapid growth. We have witnessed God do amazing things in a very short amount of time. Many people who come through the CORM Children's Village comment that it is unusual for such growth in a ministry of our size. We have sensed God's hand in our ministry (not that the spiritual things of God have been missing by any means) but now we are sensing His Heart in an amazing way.

Our children are beginning to understand their identities in Christ like never before. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18

Our young men are coming to us saying that they no longer dream to become famous sports heroes or business professionals but they know that God is calling them to be ministers and evangelists. 

“'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
Acts 2:17

This new season is going to be like one we have never seen before. My heart leaps for joy as I think about the goodness of God and the plans He has for our kids!

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,  who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord works righteousness  and justice for all the oppressed.    Psalm 103: 1-6
