Taking the Challenge

Last December my dear friend Kristin and her husband Jeremy came to Ghana to spend Christmas with us and to take home their precious daughters. While she was here we talked a lot about living lives of intentional gratitude as we challenged each other to read through and apply the concepts of Ann Voskamp's book "Ten Thousand Gifts".  We even started a blog together...that lasted about a month.

Being intentional seems to be my biggest weakness. I talk about being intentional in so many areas of life...making sure the children know their loved...spending time in God's Word...Having quality family time...eating right and exercising more...and the list goes on and on. But I keep finding myself struggling with the same things day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.
A few days ago I read something that challenged me. "30 Challenges for 30 days", an article about changing your habits by doing something consistent for 30 days. So here I am again...challenged to live intentionally.

What is the most important or useful habit I can form right now? After some debating I decided that writing in this blog every day will be a great start. The more I think about what habits I'd like to form and what habits I'd like to get rid of the longer my list becomes. So as a major piece of this journey I would love to have this blog as a starting block and a place to process.
Let the journey begin!

  1. Looking forward to following you! Living intentionally is a struggle for me too. I will keep you in prayer...and try a 30-day challenge too!
